The Full Story
I started Array Finance back in late 2020, and the name really speaks to who I am. Just like an array holds a range of different types of data in an organized way, I see myself as someone with a diverse range of interests and solutions within my field. My core expertise is in finance and business administration, but I'm passionate about IT and automation too - these areas form the backbone of every modern business, in my opinion.

In my line of work it is key to 'make yourself dispensible'. What better way to achieve that than by implementing a system that frees up much of - if not all - my presence and provides a healthy return that scales with the company?

My journey into NetSuite began when I was head of finance at a pharmaceutical company here in the Netherlands. Working in that role, I developed my NetSuite skills to better serve my team and streamline our reporting. Back then, we were drowning in spreadsheets - the endless hours spent creating and maintaining reports was honestly painful to watch. Coming from a mindset where I believe every system and process can be improved, I dove deeper into what NetSuite could really do for us. Eventually, I managed to properly track finances across 1,600+ projects and implement solid time tracking for our 200+ employees and all the payroll complexities that came with it.

My enthusiasm for NetSuite optimization caught the attention of a consulting firm, who connected me with a Belgian pharmaceutical project company struggling to get their system live. That became my first contracting opportunity - doing a complete end-to-end implementation from the client side while helping build their finance team and processes from scratch.

From there, I landed a more finance-focused contract with a flowers and e-commerce company that had just gone live with NetSuite. We quickly discovered that their implementation partner had left major gaps - inventory management, banking integrations, expense management, and basic accounting functions were barely touched. Plus, their French subsidiary wasn't even on the system yet. I spent my time there expanding and optimizing these critical areas.

Those early experiences really set the direction for everything that followed. I've worked on "rescue" implementations, helped companies start their ERP journey from zero, managed subsidiary expansions, and continuously refined finance functions and processes. I'm genuinely grateful for the trust that outstanding clients and NetSuite partners have placed in me throughout this journey.
Even though I work in a specialized niche, my experience and focus on the big picture helps me maintain a strong vision of the broader IT landscape and take a data-driven approach to finance. This perspective on total solutions is something clients consistently tell me adds real value. Without that helicopter view, you'll get lost in the details - that's why I believe you need an array of different skills and perspectives to reach the ultimate goal: a successful go-live.
